Little Flowers and Families,
You will see I posted my favorite ideas from other Little Flower Groups. At the last meeting we divided up our last few meetings and assigned families to be responsible for the craft that corresponds with the different saints.
St. Frances de Chantal: February 17th Tea Party and badge presentation. Each Little Flower is to bring one item for each Little Flower as we show "Love of neighbor". This can be as simple as a card, prayer, or an item to share at our Tea Party.
March 3rd St. Joan of Arc: Caitlin and Sarah are responsible for the craft. The virtue is obedience, the color is white, and the flower is the carnation.
March 17th St. Cecilia: Mary, Hannah, and Grace are responsible for the craft. The virtue is piety, the color is blue and the flower is the forget-me-not.
April 7th St. Catherin Laboure: Evelyn is responsible for the craft (bring tin foil and cardboard) we are making miraculous medals. I will try and post the pictures of the craft. The virtue is humility, the color is violet, and the flower is the violet.
April 21st St. Frances Xavier Cabrini: Julie and Bella. The virtue is industry, the color is yellow, and the flower is the daffodil.
May 5th St. Bridget of Sweden: Leah and Audrey. The virtue is truthfulness, the color is light orange, and the flower is the narcissus.
We have had to speed things up so we get through everything for wreath I by summer. Please let me know ahead of time if you need anything or if you can't do your designated day. Please mark your calendar now for our final badging ceremony, May 19th and invite your entire family to attend this meeting.
“St. Therese, you who are called the Little Flower, pray that I may always live as a good child of God. May I always do the little things of life extra well for the love of God. St. Therese, you love flowers and you wanted to give to Jesus the flowers of many, many souls. Now that you are in heaven, let fall upon earth a shower of roses by your prayers. Bring many more souls to Jesus. Pray to the Mother of God for us that she will smile on her children here on earth. Amen”
