Mardi Gras Party 2015

Don't forget to wear your sashes next Sunday, February 15th for our Mardi Gras Celebration!  Please be a the annex by 8:30 for set up!  More hands make for lighter (and faster) work!  Here are the pictures from last year to get us motivated!

St. Angela Mericci

Prudence

We had an awesome presentation of St. Angela Mericci tonight from the Corbin ladies.  We learned the meaning of prudence and made adorable paper bag books for the Rosary.  Such a cute idea and all you need is several paper bags folded in half and stapled together.  Then we added the prayers of the Rosary and made cute cards with the mysteries of the rosary that slide into the ready made pockets of the brown paper bags. This idea of using paper bags to make books could be used with anything.

Generosity

Never measure your generosity by what you give, but rather by what you have left.

I just thought of something, why don't we make this dinner, we can do small sandwiches and then veggie trays and fruit.  If you can think of something I forgot on this list please let me know!

We will need:
 plastic table cloths 5
Pink Lemonade (for tea)
Cookies or cupcakes (1 per girl)
Veggies
Fruit
Peanut butter sandwiches
another type of sandwiches with no peanuts
I have the tea cups and plates.

Please let me know what you would like to bring!

Special item:
Last year each girl brought one gift to give each others.  This could be a special quote, a card, small notebook, pencil, treat, just something that symbolizes a virtue or saint we have learned about this year. The girls must try and come up with this idea on their own.  Sisters may give one thing from both of them.
